This note gives guidance on ways for companies to prepare for their 2020 AGMs as the spread of the COVID-19 virus is raising a number of issues to consider. 

As companies prepare for their 2020 AGMs, the spread of the COVID-19 virus is raising a number of issues to consider. This note gives guidance on ways to deal with these. The guidance has been has been produced jointly by Slaughter and May and the Chartered Governance Institute, with the support of the Financial Reporting Council, GC100, the Investment Association and the Quoted Companies Alliance. The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy has also reviewed the guidance.
