Competition litigation has been on a continuing upward trajectory across the EU Member States. The EU chapter of The Private Competition Enforcement Review (14th ed) examines the legal framework for EU private competition law enforcement, and discusses recent activities and future developments in this area.

Competition litigation activity has been on an upward trajectory across the EU Member States in recent years and this trend looks set to continue. The EU chapter of the fourteenth edition of The Private Competition Enforcement Review offers an overview of the legal framework and procedures for private competition enforcement, and discusses the implications for individuals and corporations involved in competition law disputes, in the EU. The chapter examines recent developments in the area, including the effect of the implementation of the Damages Directive, the extent of the harmonisation of class action regimes across EU Member States and the implementation of the Representative Actions Directive.

Camilla Sanger, Disputes and Investigations Partner, William Turtle, Competition Partner, and Olga Ladrowska, Disputes and Investigations Associate, wrote the EU chapter of the fourteenth edition of The Private Competition Enforcement Review. Camilla has acted on many significant class action proceedings, including some of the highest profile competition-litigation claims before the English courts. William has extensive experience in a wide range of competition and regulatory matters, including significant experience in the field of competition litigation.
